Shh… we’re giving a Sneak Peek of North Star Health’s new Mobile Unit!

We are so excited about the arrival of our new mobile unit that we wanted to give folks a chance to take a sneak peek before the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, to be held later this fall!

And, since the mobile unit is named after cherished North Star Health physician and health care advocate Dr. Dolores Barbeau, who co-founded Neighborhood Connections in 2009, what better place for our sneak peek than the upcoming Mountain Town Circus at Flood Brook School in Londonderry, to benefit Neighborhood Connections?!

Generously funded through a grant from the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Dr. Dolores Barbeau Mobile Unit is the brainchild of its namesake, “Dr. Dolore”, who set the standard in so many ways for what it means to be a community health physician, meeting people where they are at (in every sense, and often at their homes) and addressing their personal priorities for their health.

The Dr. Dolores Barbeau Mobile Unit will give North Star Health yet another means to improve access to care, particularly for individuals and groups for whom transportation or the distance to a health center is a barrier. Fully equipped, this new “healthcare on wheels” option expands North Star Health’s ability to fulfill our mission: “to connect with and care for our community so everyone may enjoy health and wellness.”

Come have fun at the Mountain Time Circus on Sunday, September 11, from 11AM to 3PM (all for the benefit of our wonderful community partner, Neighborhood Connections!) and stop by for a sneak preview of our big, bright, beautiful new Mobile Unit!
