About Me
I remember standing in the outfield of my first high school varsity baseball game and realizing, “Wow, I can’t see anything!” That was exactly when I knew I needed to get my eyes checked. Soon thereafter I would end up with contact lenses and I couldn’t believe how impactful a short visit to the eye doctor could be! Ever since that moment, my dream was to become an optometrist so I could make that kind of impact in someone else’s life too.
Along the path to becoming an optometrist, I was fortunate enough to train at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, earning dual degrees in both optometry and a master’s degree in vision science. Upon graduation, I was honored as the “Graduate of the Year” as designated by the school’s faculty. After my time at Ohio State, I continued my training by completing an ocular disease residency at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, one of the largest ophthalmology practices in the United States.
Before coming to the Vermont/New Hampshire area, I practiced at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, serving our nation’s veterans as a staff optometrist for several years. And now I am thrilled to be at North Star Vision to provide the highest quality eye care to the fantastic people of Vermont. I grew up in Upstate New York, so I am very happy to be back in the great Northeast, closer to family and friends. Outside of work I am an avid baseball fan and enjoy spending time with my wife and puppy.
