What is changing?
Currently, walk-in care at Springfield Health Center is available Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. Starting February 3, 2025, hours will change to Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

How does North Star handle walk-in care?
If you have an acute need and don’t have an appointment, simply arrive at any of our walk-in clinics. We provide walk-in care at our Charlestown, NH, Ludlow, and Springfield Health Centers to provide patients with convenient access to care that complements our primary care services.

What happens when I arrive?
Our Medical Office Coordinators will take your information and may ask you to complete standard walk-in care forms.

  • If you have a PCP: We will attempt to have you seen by your provider if they have availability. If not, a member of your care team or another provider will assist you.
  • If you don’t have a PCP: You’ll be seen by the next available provider or nurse, depending on your needs.

What if I don’t have a Primary Care Provider?
Don’t worry! You will be seen by the first available provider who can meet your needs. We strongly encourage you to establish care with us for ongoing health and wellness support, but this is not required to be seen.

How long will I have to wait?
If we experience higher patient volumes, you may need to wait or schedule a visit for later the same day or the next day. We’ll do our best to meet your needs as quickly as possible.

How much will it cost?
We are committed to making care accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Costs will be billed similarly to previous walk-in care.
