Join us for an extraordinary Food as Medicine pop-up event on February 29 at 6 pm! Discover the magic of healthy cooking at the 3rd-floor Health and Wellness kitchen in North Star Health’s Springfield Health Center, 100 River Street, Springfield, VT.

Local chef and Vermont Academy’s Director of Food Services, Jason Tostrup, will offer a live cooking demonstration. Watch him whip up Vegetable Unfried Rice from the How Not to Die Cookbook and sample of this plant-forward and nutritious meals that is both delicious and easy to prepare.

This free Food as Medicine event is brought to you by the generous support of the Ardmore Institute of Health and food donations from The Vermont Academy. A collaborative effort between Springfield Family Center and North Star Health has made this event possible.

Chef Tostrup, a Multiple Sclerosis survivor, will share his personal journey and passion for healthy eating to manage chronic conditions. Despite his health challenges, Chef Tostrup’s culinary career demonstrates the positive impact of a focus on nutritious foods. Join him on a mission to inspire others to cook their way to a healthier life.

Attendees will have the chance to win a nutritious cooking package, including essential kitchen utensils, a cookbook, and a Shaw’s gift card.
